Kavitha vs Aravind Dharmapuri: BJP MP files police complaint against KCRs daughter

Hyderabad: BJP Nizamabad MP Aravind Dharmapuri has filed a complaint against TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha at the Banjara Hills police station following her "will beat you to death" statement she made at her Friday press meet.

"I am filing the complaint on the advice of our BJP legal cell. I have no hopes for the police here," the MP said in a video he tweeted on Friday.

He further warned the TRS MLC that she would be put behind bars for the alleged corruption.

TRS workers allegedly attacked the BJP MP's house. His mother, D. Vijayalaxmi, also filed a police complaint about the vandalism of their house.

Governor and others condemn attack

Meanwhile, the Telangana Governor has expressed concern over the attack on the MP's residence in Hyderabad. She has asked the director general of police to submit a detailed report on the attack and vandalism.

Union minister Kishan Reddy also condemned the attack and tweeted, "Power-induced madness & arrogance has donned on the TRS!"

On Thursday, BJP MP Aravind accused MLC Kavitha of being in touch with the Congress party.

Reacting to Mr. Aravind's statements, MLC Kavitha on Friday said, "I usually refrain from making personal comments. So I am warning you that if you continue to speak rubbish about my family or me, I will hit you with chappals at Nizamabad's Chowrasta."

Refuting the claims that she was planning to jump ships, Kavitha said, "I'm not in contact with anyone. Please ask Kharge ji if I ever contacted him." She further challenged the BJP MP that she would defeat him in the next election.
