KCR announces Rs. 2K financial aid, free rice to teachers, staff of private schools

Chandrashekhar Rao has come to the aid of private school teachers and staff who have been struggling following the temporary closure of educational institutions in the state. In a first-of-its-kind venture in the country, KCR has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 2,000 and 25 kg of rice through fair price shops to teachers and other staff members of recognized private educational institutions in the state.
It is pertinent to note that the financial assistance of Rs 2000 and 25 Kg rice will be given to re-cognised private educational Institutions' teachers and staff families per month from April 2021 till the educational institutions are re-opened, the order said.
How to apply?
The CM said to get the assistance the private educational institutions' teachers and other staff should apply to the district collector concerned with their bank account details and other relevant information.
This decision, KCR said, was taken on a humanitarian consideration and will help 1. 50 lakh teachers and school staff. Those eligible should apply to the district collector concerned along with their bank account details and other relevant information, he added.
The Chief Minister instructed education minister Sabita Indrareddy, civil supplies minister Gangula Kamalakar, and government's chief advisor Rajiv Sharma to hold a videoconference at 11.30 a.m on 9 April at BRK Bhavan. All district collectors, DEOs and civil supplies departments DSOs will participate in the conference. Orders for the implementation of the required guidelines and action plan will be issued.
