Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has challenged BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to participate in a debate on Krishna waters.
Revanth Reddy also made it clear that he would tender an apology in case he spoke anything wrong, during his speech in the Assembly on Saturday.
The chief minister claimed that the state had received a death sentence in the Krishna water case. He recalled that KCR increased the capacity of the Pothireddypadu Head Regulator when he was a Union Minister.

He questioned if it was accurate to say that the backwaters of Srisailam were being used to transport the water that was intended to be collected from Jurala solely for commission purposes. He said that 20 km of SLBC tunnel had been completed in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
The chief minister further stated that no project work was completed during the KCR government. He was outraged that BRS leaders, who should have sympathized with the Srisailam Left Branch Canal (SLBC) accident, were enjoying diabolical pleasure.
Responding to the protest by BRS party MLAs in the House over his comments on KCR, Revanth Reddy said, āThe BRS party was once in power, but later fell to the opposition. Later, it lost 8 MP seats, fell to zero, and went to the morgue. Did I say anything wrong? But former ministers T Harish Rao and KT Rama Rao are portraying KCR as if I said anything wrong about him. That kind of nature is not mine.ā

"I wish KCR could live for a hundred years and remain in the opposition," the CM said. KCR was paid Rs 54.84 lakh as an MLA, but he had only attended the Assembly twice. He recalled that KCR had said that he would make Rayalaseema prosperous after having lunch at YSRCP leader and former minister RK Roja's house.
2022 budget session began without a speech by the Governor
The chief minister also said that the institutions were formed in the spirit of the Constitution. He recalled that the 2022 budget session began without a speech by the Governor and criticized the previous government for not adhering to democratic values. He also claimed that the previous administration had disrespected the female governor.
Revanth Reddy was also outraged that some people were displaying their ignorance by comparing the governor's speech to that of an activist at Gandhi Bhavan. He made it clear that the Governor's speech would not be against Congress policies and that his Congress government is a people's government.
However, while the chief minister was speaking, the BRS MLAs walked out of the house in protest of the CM's comments on KCR. The BRS MLAs made it clear that they would not listen to Revanth Reddyās speech, who made inappropriate comments about KCR.

In return, the chief minister said that if BRS leaders continue to act like this, they will get zero votes in the upcoming Assembly elections. He said that only the issues approved by the cabinet would be included in the Governor's speech. The opposition leaders are speaking without the slightest understanding and if the opposition makes suggestions to the people, they will accept them.
BRS does not have in Governor system
Revanth Reddy said that BRS does not have faith in the governor system. He said that farmers are committing suicide due to debts. He said that more than Rs 20,000 crores of loans were waived in the first year itself. He also clarified that all farmers will be provided with farmer's insurance by March 31. Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa provides landless farmer laborers. He revealed that all the grain would be purchased from the farmers.

But despite the lack of water in Kaleshwaram, the paddy harvest reached a record level. He said that the previous government had done injustice to the farmers by colluding with the millers.
