KCR names new TS Secretariat after Dr B R Ambedkar
By Newsmeter Network Published on 15 Sep 2022 11:30 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to name the new Telangana secretariat after the "Father of the Indian Constitution" Dr. Bababsaheb Ambedkar.
"It is a proud moment for the people of Telangana that the state's main administration headquartersāSecretariatāis named after India's social philosopher and intellectual Dr. BR Ambedkar. This decision is exemplary for India. The Telangana government is moving forward by adhering to Ambedkar's philosophy that all the people of India should get equal respect in all fields," said KCR.
"Telangana has emerged as a role model in the country, embodying Ambedkar's aspirations. The state believes in the welfare of all sections of people in the social, political, economic, and cultural fields," he said and added that because Ambedkar incorporated Article 3 in the Constitution, Telangana could be formed as a separate state. Telangana which has stood as an example for the country in the past is once again standing as an example for the country by naming the state secretariat after Dr. BR Ambedkar, the CM said.
Earlier, KCR had demanded naming India's new Parliament building after Dr. Ambedkar and said he will write to the Prime Minister regarding the same.
