Hyderabad: Another political controversy has erupted between Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister KCR. Two days after the inauguration of the new Telangana Secretariat, Raj Bhavan vehemently denied the allegation that the state government had invited the Governor for the inauguration.
Raj Bhavan issued a statement stating that no invitation was sent to the Governor inviting her to the inauguration of the new Secretariat building and that this was the precise and sole reason for her non-attendance at the event.
On 30 April, Telangana marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the new Secretariat, the nerve centre of the stateās administration. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by KCR who signed six files to officially open the complex.
The inauguration was attended by several ministers, leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and senior officials. However, the Governorās absence was noticeable and there were rumours about the reasons for her missing the event.
Earlier, too, there were several political disputes between KCR and the Governor on issues such as the approval of the state budget 2023, clearance of pending financial bills, and the conduct of the Republic Day in Telangana.
