Khammam meet: Amit Shah calls KCR 2G, Owaisi 3G, Congress 4G parties

Khammam: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday slammed K Chandrashekar Rao's government in Telangana, saying that its downfall has started and soon the lotus will bloom in the state.

Addressing the crowd at ‘Raitu Gosa - BJP Barosa’ in Khammam, Amit Shah accused the KCR government of being anti-farmer, anti-Dalit and anti-women.

Shah criticized the KCR government, saying that it had failed to deliver on its promises. He said that the KCR government was anti-farmer, as evidenced by its failure to provide irrigation facilities to farmers. He also said that the KCR government was anti-Dalit, as evidenced by its neglect of Dalit welfare schemes.

Shah also accused the KCR government of being anti-women, saying that it had failed to provide adequate security for women. He also said that the KCR government was anti-youth, as evidenced by its failure to create jobs.

Accusing the BRS government Shah said, “The government has ignored the tradition of offering clothes and pearls on Ram Navami at Bhadrachalam. Their car goes to the temple but not to the deity, while Owaisi has the steering.”

Shah further slammed Congress, BRS, and AIMIM for indulging in nepotistic politics and commented, “Congress is a 4G party. Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi ruled for 4 generations. KCR’s party is a 2G party. KCR followed by KTR. Owaisi’s party is a 3G party. It’s been run by 3 generations of dynasts. Now, the BJP will come to power.”

On farmers, Shah said that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the centre increased the budget spent on agriculture from Rs 22000 crores under the UPA government to Rs 1.28 lakh crores, which he said made “agriculture profitable.”

“The Congress government only delivered loans and subsidies worth Rs 7 lakh crores to farmers while the BJP has delivered Rs 20 lakh crores worth support to them. Only 475 lakh metric tonnes of rice was procured under the Congress regime. Under PM Narendra Modi’s regime, the number has reached 900 lakhs metric tonnes,” he said.

Shah also accused KCR of politicizing rice procurement. He said that the central government's Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is providing ₹2.6 lakh crores to around 11 lakh farmers. The Modi government is also setting up 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).

Telangana State President G Kishan Reddy

Union minister and BJP state president Kishan Reddy, who was also present at the meeting, said, “The BRS government has turned agriculture into a nightmare for the farmers in Telangana. The government has not implemented any of the promises it made to the farmers, such as free fertilizers, crop insurance, and waiver of farm loans.”

Reddy also said that the BRS government has been creating more problems for the farmers through its policies, such as the Dharani land records system. He said that the BJP government, if voted to power, will work towards solving the problems of the farmers.

Reddy also called on the farmers to support the BJP in the upcoming elections. He said that the BJP is the only party that can fulfill the aspirations of the Telangana martyrs and pave the way for sustainable development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

State BJP EMCC Etala Rajender

The former minister of Telangana and State BJP election management committee chairman Eatala Rajender also addressed the crowd. He said, “BRS government has been misleading the farmers with false promises. The government has not fulfilled any of the promises it made to the farmers in the last four and a half years.”

Rajender said, “If BJP comes to power, will buy grain without depreciation and provide all the subsidies that should be received as the right of farmers. BJP will also implement the crop insurance scheme properly and waive the farm loans of the farmers.”

Rajender also said that the Telangana government is a government of words but not a government of deeds.
