Rajnikanth fans demand apology after Kodali Nani makes derogatory comments

Amaravati: Former minister Kodali Nani, who is infamous for making derogatory comments against the opposition, lived up to his reputation when he used abusive remarks against Tamil superstar Rajnikanth for praising TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu.

The actor attended the NTR's centenary celebrations in Vijayawada. During the function, Rajnikanth credited Naidu for developing Hyderabad. He also praised him for his Andhra Pradesh vision 2047.

Reacting to his statement, Kodali Nani said: "Rajnikanth went to Karrakatta (Naidu's house) and barked after the TDP fed him food. No one is ready to believe the words uttered by Rajnikanth. He might be a hero in Tamil Nadu, but he is a zero in Andhra Pradesh."

According to the sources, Nani was supposed to address 'Jagan Anna Maha Bhavishyatu' briefing details on the culmination day. However, it is said that he might have received orders from the party.

Kodali Nani asked why Rajnikanth remained silent "when Naidu allegedly killed NTR”.

"Rajnikanth’s visit to Andhra Pradesh is Naidu’s plan to show off his grip on the film Industry. Rajnikanth spoke a lot about the great qualities of NTR. I want to ask him why he did not come to help NTR when he was attacked at Viceroy Hotel in Hyderabad," Nani questioned, referring to the Naidu-led revolt against NTR in 1995.

Fans demand apology

Angry Rajnikanth fans have demanded an apology from the leader for insulting the actor. Fans condemned the statement made by Kodali Nani.

Taking to Twitter, Rajnikanth fans asked why was actor attacked when he did not say a word against YSRCP or chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy.
