Amaravati: The counting of votes for the Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh will begin at 8 AM on Tuesday.

Andhra Pradesh went for 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha polls on May 13.

This is a mega election in Andhra Pradesh with YSRCP alone contesting 175 seats and TDP-Janasena-BJP going for an alliance.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from Pulivendula, N Chandrababu Naidu from Kuppam, Pawan Kalyan from Pithapuram, Nara Lokesh from Mangalagiri and Nandamuri Balakrishna from Hindupur are the key leaders whose results are most awaited by the public.

    According to the latest information disseminated by the Election Commission, TDP won 112 Assembly seats while Janasena bagged 19 and BJP five seats.

     TDP Bheemili MLA candidate Ganta Srinivas Rao won with a majority of 92,401. He defeated YSRCP candidate and former minister Avanti Srinivas.

     TDP Gajuwaka MLA candidate Palla Srinivas Rao won with a highest majority of 94,058 in the state. He defeated YSRCP candidate and Minister Gudivada Amarnath.

    YSRCP Cheepurupalli candidate Botcha Satyanarayana got defeated to TDPs Kala Venkat Rao. Rao won with a majority of 11,527 votes.

    The NDA alliance of TDP, BJP and Janasena is leading in 21 Lok Sabha and 139 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, including emerging victorious in 25 assembly segments. According to the latest information disseminated by the Election Commission, TDP won 19 assembly seats, Janasena five and BJP one while the YSRCP is yet to open its account, though it is leading in just 11 seats.

    Rajamundry City, Rajamundry Rural, Undi, Palakollu, Vijayawada East, Dhone and Proddaturu are some of the 19 seats bagged by the TDP. Janasena won in Rajanagaram, Narasapuram, Bhimavaram, Tadepalligudem and Tenali. Meanwhile, except one minister, all the cabinet members of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy are trailing.

     TDP Madakasira MLA candidate MS Raju won with a small margin of 25 votes. He defeated YSRCP candidate Eera Lakkappa. Raju secured 78,347 votes, while Lakkappa secured 78,322 votes.

     TDP Macherla MLA candidate Julakanti Brahmananda Reddy won with a majority of 32,000. He defeated YSRCP candidate Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy.

     TDP Nandyala MLA Mohammad Farooq won with a majority of over 11,000 votes. He defeated YSRCP candidate Slipa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy.

     YS Jagan Mohan Reddy won with a majority of 59,000 votes in Pulivendula. He defeated TDP candidate B.Tech Ravi

    Jagan's majority was reduced to 59,000 votes from 90,000-odd votes he secured in the 2019 Assembly elections.
