Luxury flats, plots & cash: ACB arrests Gajwel Tahsildar Sravan Kumar in ₹4 Cr Disproportionate Assets case
Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau on Saturday arrested Kamatam Sravan Kumar, Tahsildar of Gajwel Mandal in Siddipet district, in a disproportionate assets case after searches unearthed properties and valuables worth around ₹4 crore allegedly amassed through unlawful means.
Searches at multiple locations
According to ACB officials, a case was registered against the accused officer for allegedly acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by abusing his official position.
Simultaneous searches were conducted at his residence and two other locations.
During the raids, officials reportedly seized documents related to several movable and immovable properties.

Properties and valuables unearthed
The assets detected include:
Two houses in Karimnagar town
One apartment building comprising six flats
Four open plots in Karimnagar town
Total estimated value: ₹2,47,33,540
Two two-wheelers worth ₹1,60,000
One four-wheeler worth ₹30,00,000
Gold ornaments worth ₹4,20,000
Household articles valued at ₹15,66,000
Net cash of ₹11,90,000
The total value of the assets identified so far is estimated at around ₹4 crore. Officials stated that the market value of the properties is likely to be significantly higher than the documented value.
Arrest and further investigation
The accused officer has been arrested and is being sent to judicial remand. ACB officials said searches are still in progress and further investigation is underway to ascertain the full extent of the assets.
