Maha govt donates 10 acres to TTD to build temple at Navi Mumbai

Tirupati: Maharashtra minister for tourism Aditya Thackeray handed over the documents of the land donated by the state government to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) for the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra.

The minister presented the documents to TTD Trust Board chairman Y.V Subba Reddy in the presence of other board members and TTD mandarins at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala before the start of the board meeting on Saturday.

The vice-president of Raymond Limited, Sanjiv Sarin, has assured, on behalf of the chairman and MD of Raymond Group Gautam Singhania, that they will bear the entire cost of the construction of the temple.

TTD chairman felicitated Mr. Thackeray and Mr. Sarin on the occasion. He thanked the Maharashtra government for the kind gesture to allot 10 acres of land at Ulwe in Navi Mumbai. The TTD Board chief also thanked the largesse of the Raymond chief Mr. Singhania for coming forward to bear the entire cost of the construction of Sri Venkateswara temple.
