Mega family, Telugu film fraternity come down to Pithapuram to canvas for Pawan Kalyan

Pithapuram: With the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Parliament elections around the corner, every constituency is heating up with political leaders and their supporters taking up aggressive campaigning.

Among all, the results from the Pithapuram constituency are one of the important and most awaited events across AP; actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan from Jana Sena Party (JSP) is going to face-off Vanga Geetha from YSRCP in Pithapuram.

A sizeable number of Kapu community voters huddled around his personal charisma and an anti-incumbency factor are what JSP chief Pawan Kalyan hopes to see him through the hustings in the Pithapuram Assembly segment, His opponent, the YSR Congress party’s nominee Vanga Geetha, is heavily depending on her track record to defeat the actor-politician.

Naga Babu and other Mega family members campaign for PK

Pithapuram came into the limelight after Pawan Kalyan decided to contest there as part of the seat-sharing agreement as part of the BJP, TDP and JSP alliance for the ensuing AP State Assembly and Parliament elections.

While the MLA candidate Pawan Kalyan and his brother Naga Babu have been touring the constituency since the beginning, in the last week, his other family members and fans of Pawan Kalyan have stepped out to canvas for their star.

Actors and Mega family members Varun Tej, Sai Dharma Tej and Vaishnav Teja have toured the constituency asking voters to support their babai (uncle) this election. The stars campaigning for their family member is one of the advantages for Jana Sena in Pithapuram.

Popular comedy actor ‘Hyper’ Aadi from Jabardasth comedy show took a major role in campaigning for his favourite actor. He has been seen going around on a vehicle, throwing punch dialogues against the Opposition and entertaining the public.

His elder brother Chiranjeevi, who has always been a great supporter of Pawan Kalyan, posted an emotional video on X explaining why people should vote for PK.

Film producer Naga Vamsi who owns his production house Sithara Entertainments came down campaigning for Pawan Kalyan. Vamsi produced the movie Bheemla Nayak acted by Pawan Kalyan.

Tollywood film fraternity behind PK

Many from the film fraternity posted on social media wishing Pawan Kalyan good luck in the polls.

In a post on X, actor Nani wrote, “Dear Pawan Kalyan gaaru, as you are about to face the big battle of politics. As a member of your film family I hope you achieve everything you wish and keep all your promises. I am rooting for you and I am confident the entire fraternity is too. All the very best sir.”

Pithapuram constituency has approximately 2.35 lakh voters, of which Kapu community electors stand at 82,000, BCs (Backward Classes) at 79,000 and SCs (Scheduled Castes) at 43,000.
