Chief Minister also inaugurated Cognizant new campus at Kokapet in Hyderabad.
In his inaugural speech, he said the state delegation returned to Hyderabad after a successful tour of the USA and South Korea.
“We met global businessmen and corporate leaders in America and Korea. All of them are positive to invest in Telangana, particularly Hyderabad. During the USA and South Korea visit, the state already attracted record investments of Rs 31,500 crore which will create more than 30,750 jobs. The government will enter some more agreements soon. An investor task force will be established soon to hold regular meetings for investments. The ‘ Future State’ of Telangana covered with three rings,” he said.
Banking on Future City, he said the government's ambition is to transform Telangana into a trillion-dollar economy in the next 10 years. He also assured full support to Cognizant for its expansion plans in Hyderabad.
Cognizant is very popular in Hyderabad. The city of Hyderabad has a history of more than four hundred years. The foundation for the development of IT in Hyderabad was laid by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The IT sector was grown continuously after Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajasekhar Reddy's rule. Cyberabad City has also been developed. On the lines of Hyderabad, the Cognizant company also registered fast growth. The IT company is the second largest employer in the state. Despite maintaining political differences, Hyderabad development is being given top priority.
“Like Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad, the government envisaged plans to develop the fourth city- ` The Future City'. The development of Future City will prove the government’s sincerity. My government is not competing with AP, Karnataka, or others. We are competing only with the world. There is no city like Hyderabad anywhere in the neighboring states. Hence, we are not competing with the neighboring states. Hyderabad city is the best destination for investments. It is the right platform for industrialists. Inviting all to invest in Telangana and the government is ready to provide all required facilities,” he said.
