Ramgopalpet police on Monday arrested the suspect. This is the fourth case of sexual assault against minors in the city in the last nine days.
The original complaint was filed at Humayun Nagar police station on Saturday. The case was later transferred to Ramgopalpet police station because the area falls under its jurisdiction.
According to the police, the victim, who stays in an orphanage, had met Suresh, 23, who works at a computer shop, in April. Later they stayed in touch with each other. Suresh gifted her a mobile phone and they were talking frequently.
On April 20, they went to a classmate's birthday party at Necklace road. Suresh too joined them. He later called the victim outside and forcefully bundled her in a car. He then allegedly raped her. The hostel warden learnt about the issue a few days back when the minor girl fell ill.
The warden filed a complaint at Humayun Nagar Police station. Humayun Nagar Police registered a Zero FIR and transferred the case to Ramgopalpet, Hyderabad.
Suresh was arrested and produced before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
