Joining him would be Kurra Satyanarayana.
The Telangana cabinet chaired by CM KCR met on July 29 and announced a few major decisions revolving around transportation, health, TSRTC employees and orphans in the state.
The cabinet has announced to expand Metro rail by another 400 kms in and around Hyderabad in a time frame of 3-5 years. The government to seek funds to an extent of Rs 60,000 crore for the project.
On the same day, BRS working president K T Rama Rao announced the MLC nomination for Dr Sravan Dasoju and Kurra Satyanarayana under the Governor's quota. The file will be sent to the Governor for approval. It is pertinent to note that earlier, the Telangana Governor had taken time to approve certain bills sent by the government. This widened the political indifference between the Governor and Chief Minister KCR.

In 2009, he contested on the ticket of the Praja Rajyam party from Secunderabad Lok Sabha and lost. He then left the party and joined the Telangana Movement Party TRS.
The latter left the TRS party and joined the Congress party on April 12, 2014, due to reasons after the formation of Telangana state. After joining the Congress party, he served in various capacities as Congress spokesperson and National General Secretary of Congress.
In 2018, he contested as an MLA from Khairatabad Assembly on behalf of the Congress Party and lost. After serving for a brief period in BJP, he joined the BRS on October 21, 2022.
