Hyderabad: A day after BRS MLC and his sister Kalvakuntla Kavitha was summoned to Delhi by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning over the Delhi Liquor Scam, IT minister KT Rama Rao attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party. KTR called out Gautam Adani, a 'proxy' of the PM.

"Is everyone in the BJP a brother of Raja Harishchandra"? KTR questioned.

"Prime Minister refers to India as 'mother of democracy.' But in reality, he is the 'grandfather of hypocrisy," said KTR. He slammed Narendra Modi Government's hypocrisy in using central investigating agencies for political vendetta against rivals while he remains blind to the follies of his bename like Gautham Adani.

Addressing the media in Hyderabad on Thursday, KTR questioned why no action has been taken on the Hindenburg report in which Rs 13 lakh crore of public money including SBI, and LIC are involved. "Both PM and finance minister were on mute to bail out Adani. The double engine Sarkar slogan by the BJP means, one engine is Modi, and another engine is Adani," said KTR.

He questioned the rationale behind handing over six airports to the Adani group by changing the rule of a maximum of two airports.

KTR stated that the Modi government had adopted either "Jhumla or Hamla" tactics for the past eight years and pulled down eight elected governments.

Reacting to the ED summons to MLC Kavitha, the minister said they were not ED (Enforcement Directorate) summons, but Modi summons. The minister alleged that the central investigating agencies had become puppets in the hands of the BJP.

"More than 95 percent of raids conducted by the ED were on the opposition party leaders. However, the conviction was only in 23 cases of over 5,400 cases filed since the Modi regime began in 2014," said the IT Minister.

The minister told the media that none in Telangana would fear Modi's summons and were prepared to face any investigation into the allegations levelled by the investigative agencies.

KTR also mentioned how BJP MP YS Chowdhary and CM Ramesh were also booked by investigative agencies in 2018 when they were in Telugu Desam Party, and no action was taken after they joined BJP.
