Modi offers Vikas mandate to Telangana, promises development

Hyderabad: To thousands of people who gathered at Parade Grounds on Sunday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered a mandate for development. He said that if the people of Telangana wanted to speeden development, they should bring Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to power.

Modi began his speech by appreciating and thanking the people of Telangana for coming in huge numbers for the public meeting and for the love and blessings that they gave to BJP. "We have been experiencing your love for the last two days," he said. He said that the people of Telangana are known for their hard work and dedication for the country's development.

Describing Telangana's development as one of the first priorities of BJP, he listed the developments brought by the BJP in the state. "The National Highways in Telangana have doubled. We have spent around 1500 crores in Telangana on developing roads. We have laid several 4 lanes, 6 lanes, and some flyovers to ease the traffic in the city," he said. He also said that a Regional Ring Road is also planned for the city.

"If the BJP is voted to power in Telangana, we will ensure connectivity in every nook and corner of the city," he said.

Modi said that the BJP government at the centre has been working day and night to fulfill the aspirations of all the people -garib, dalit, aadivasi, peedith. He also said how programmes like Jan Dhan, Mudra, Stand Up India, etc. have benefited the people of the country and Telangana alike, especially the women. He said that the government was working towards making the country safe for women.

Meanwhile, Modi also announced that out of the seven upcoming textile parks in the country, one mega textile park is going to come up in Telangana.

"If the BJP is elected to power in Telangana, we will work towards development in each and every village in the state," said Modi.

Surprisingly, Modi did not hurl any attacks on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who had demanded answers for several questions from Modi on Saturday. It can also be noted that Modi patted Bandi Sanjay in full view of the camera in front of the crowd

"Telangana mein kamal khilna chahiye"

Meanwhile, speaking at the public meeting, BJP National President JP Nadda said that he was hopeful of the crowd and their energy. "This speaks that in the coming times, KCR will have to quit and the BJP will come to power. People of Telangana have decided to keep KCR at home," he said. He also mentioned that the BJP's victoris in the GHMC, Dubbak and Huzurabad elections shows that people are happy with the party and have decided to bring BJP to power in the state.

Nadda further called the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project a scam. He also alleged that in KCR's rule, employment is only for the members of his family.

"Telangana mein kamal khilna chahiye," Nadda added.
