Munugode by-poll: TRS general body meeting will be held on 5 Oct, KCR clarifies
On Dussehra, KCR is expected to announce the name of his national party in the run-up to the 2024 parliamentary election.

Chandrasekhar Rao clarified that the TRS general body meeting will be held, as informed, on 5 October (Dussehra) at 11 a.m in Telangana Bhavan.
Saying that the notification for the Munugode Assembly by-poll will not affect the general body meeting, KCR said the members need not get confused. Further, KCR requested the leaders to attend the meeting.
On Dussehra, KCR is expected to announce the name of his national party in the run-up to the 2024 parliamentary election. On Monday, the Election Commission of India announced that the by-election to the Munugode Assembly constituency in Telangana will be held on 3 November. The results are scheduled to be announced on 6 November.
The by-election was necessitated by the resignation of MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on 8 August. He quit the Congress party and joined the BJP.
The Indian National Congress, on 9 September, approved the candidature of Palvai Sravanthi for Munugode. TRS and BJP are yet to announce their candidates for the by-poll.
Munugode is part of the Bhongir Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency in the Nalgonda district. The constituency has 2,00,956 voters, including 1,02,801 male voters and 98,146 female voters.
