2 seats are for Mynampally

The reason for leaving BRS was that Hanumanth Rao wanted a seat for his son Dr Rohit Mynampally. The discussions with the Congress party were intense and it has finally been agreed that Hanumanth Rao will be given two seats ā€“ one for himself and other for his son. The seats are for Malkajgiri and Medak, according to sources.

Others are in queue

Gandhi Bhawan in Nampally, is now become a point of attention as many ex-Congress leaders are talking to the party. A senior Congressmen explained, ā€œThe ex-members of parliament and other senior leaders from parties are coming with conditions. Everyone who wants to join is demanding seats. But there is intense discussion as the party cadre must not feel side lined. Those who have been with the Congress party for last nine years and loyal to the party cannot be kept aside.ā€

Consideration only based on wining

The consideration being given to candidates is only based on winning. Those who have a huge clout in the people and are sure to win whichever party they belong to are being given preference. ā€œThose leaders are only handful and they will come before the election notification,ā€ says a senior Congressmen. More are expected to join from the ruling party in the coming days as proā€™s and conā€™s are weighed across the table.
