Narayanpet Congress leader booked for rape in Panjagutta

Hyderabad: The Panjagutta police received a complaint from a woman alleging Narayanpet Congress Committee President K. Shiva Kumar Reddy of raping her.
In her complaint, the woman stated that in 2020 he met one person by name K. Shiva Kumar Reddy. He tried to get close to her in the pretext of love. Finally, on one occasion, he expressed his intention to marry her. When she questioned him about his existing marriage, he replied saying that his wife is critically ill and she would not be surviving beyond three years and thus, he needs a woman to take care of him.
He tied a yellow thread thus signifying that they were married as per the Hindu rituals. The woman approached the Panjagutta PS and requested to take necessary action against him as per law. A case has been registered against K Shiva Kumar Reddy under section 417, 420, 376, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)
