Amaravati: Neerabh Kumar Prasad has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh.
His appointment came after incumbent Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy proceeded on leave on Thursday due to personal reasons.
An IAS officer of the 1987 batch, Prasad was posted as the Special Chief Secretary (Environment, Forest, Science and Technology).
On Wednesday, Neerabh Kumar Prasad paid a courtesy call to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu after the TDP-BJP-Jana Sena alliance won the elections.
In November 2019, Neerabh Kumar Prasad was posted as the Chief Secretary for a brief period during the YSRCP government. At that time, Prasad was the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.
