New milestone for Telangana as KCR inaugurates state-of-the-art Secretariat

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who signed six files to officially open the complex.
The Secretariat is now equipped with state-of-the-art features and boasts a unique design. The inauguration was attended by several ministers, leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and senior officials who congratulated the Chief Minister and presented him with bouquets.
The inauguration began with a series of special yagnas and pujas conducted by Vedic scholars who chanted hymns and performed rituals to bless the building. After visiting the Yagashala and participating in special pooja programmes, KCR inaugurated the new Secretariat. He then proceeded to the sixth floor of the building where he signed six files, including one on the Gruha Lakshmi and wastelands.
Busy first day for state administration
In a synchronised move, other officials, including ministers, chief secretary Santhi Kumari, secretaries, and other top officials, occupied their respective chambers at the same time.
In a series of official acts, various ministers of the Telangana state government have signed files related to their respective departments. Telangana finance and health minister Harish Rao signed a file for the direct recruitment of 1,827 staff nurses in teaching hospitals. The minister also signed a file releasing funds worth Rs. 151.64 crores as crop assistance for farmers whose crops were damaged due to untimely rains.
Minister KTR signed a file to provide double-bedroom homes to the poor in Hyderabad city.
Home Minister Mahmood Ali has signed the sanction for the establishment of new police stations, while Minister Indrakaran Reddy has signed a file related to the provision of incense offerings in Hindu temples in the twin cities. Minister Malla Reddy has signed the file for Shrama Shakti Awards, while Minister Gangula Kamalakar has signed the file related to the distribution of Sannabiyam to Angan Wadis.
Minister Koppula Eshwar has signed the second phase of the Dalit Bandhu Padhakam files, and Minister Niranjan Reddy has signed the dam construction file. Minister Errabelli's first signature is on the permission file for the construction of IKP buildings for new mandals. Minister Satyavati Rathore has signed the file for the free distribution of milk to Chanti children between three years of age in one of the Angan Wadi centres. Finally, Minister Talasani's first signature is on the free fish distribution file.
Ministers who participated in yagnas and pujas from morning took charge in their respective chambers.
Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari welcomed the CM at the Secretariat and started her activities.
The occasion was marked by a festive atmosphere with many ministers and public representatives congratulating Chief Minister KCR and saluting him.
KCR on the inauguration of the Secretariat
Speaking on the occasion, KCR expressed his happiness that the new Secretariat was completed within a short period of time, overcoming many hurdles and criticisms, and is now available for the people.
He said that the new Secretariat is a role model for the country and a shining example of good governance. He praised the construction of the Secretariat, which has been done by adopting the highest technical values, keeping in mind the administrative needs of future generations. He also said the Secretariat is the first eco-friendly structure built by complying with all the standards and possessing a slew of unique features.
The Chief Minister also emphasised that the Secretariat is built to ensure the continuation of good governance and to fulfil the aspirations of the people. He said that the naming of the secretariat after Dr BR Ambedkar is to ensure that the SC, ST, BC, and Minority women and poor communities get equal rights in socio-economic, political, and cultural fields.
The Telangana state Secretariat is named after Ambedkar with a big goal of delivering good governance to the people and receiving accolades from the nation by strengthening the state administration, the CM said and added that Telangana governance has become a model for the country in no time.
KCR also expressed his confidence that the blooming Telangana will shine further and the progress achieved will continue with a vision. He congratulated the workers and masons who played a great role in constructing the iconic structure of the Secretariat, professionals from all fields who worked hard, architects who provided incredible models, the contracting agencies for their tireless job, the R&B minister, and engineers.
