`No exceptions, no excuses’: CM Naidu warns Amaravati land allottees against delaying construction work
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has warned organizations allotted land in Amaravati against delaying construction work on developmental projects.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), Naidu said strict timelines must be followed to ensure that the capital city’s development regains momentum.
Land allotted to 72 organisations
During the meeting, the chief minister interacted with heads of educational institutions, IT companies, healthcare providers, hotel chains, religious bodies, and government agencies that have been allotted land in the capital region.
He pointed out that 947 acres had been allotted to 72 organizations for various developmental activities in Amaravati.
‘No exceptions, no excuses,’ says CM
Addressing the institutions, Mr. Naidu made it clear that construction works must begin and be completed on schedule. “No exceptions, no excuses,” he warned.
Emphasizing his government’s commitment to fast-tracking Amaravati’s development, he assured the representatives that any bottlenecks would be resolved swiftly.
“If there’s any hurdle, don’t approach officials, come directly to me,” he told them.
Institutions share timelines
During the review, the institutions shared preliminary timelines. Three organizations promised to begin construction within a month, while fifteen committed to starting work within two months.
Another thirteen institutions said they would commence construction within five months, and seventeen assured that they would begin work within six months.
Focus on sector-wise development
The meeting also discussed land parcels allotted for various sectors, including commercial enterprises, educational campuses, hotels, offices, healthcare centers, religious establishments, IT and tech parks, and government buildings. Top executives, institutional heads, and officials presented their detailed project plans and commitments.
The government seeks firm commitments
The Chief Minister directed officials to actively collect firm proposals from each institution to ensure that the capital city’s development stays on course. The government hopes that with strict adherence to timelines and proactive intervention in resolving issues, Amaravati will witness rapid progress in the coming months.
