Amid Covid explosion, the Telangana government said the situation is under control in the state. Medical and Health Minister T Harish Rao said the Corona situation is under control and they are ready to face any challenge.

The Telangana cabinet meeting held on 17 January 2021 also put an end to speculation of a possible lockdown or night curfew in the state. The Chief Minister along with his team of ministers ruled out any possibility of a clamp down in view of the Covid third wave.

The Minister said five crore vaccine doses have already been administered to the eligible people in the state. He said all the eligible would be administered jabs very soon.

Harish Rao said that Corona could be successfully contained if people do not move in groups and follow the self-regulatory guidelines.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed the medical and health minister to take help from the Municipal and Panchayat Raj department officials and complete the vaccination programme with coordinated efforts.

The CM also instructed all district ministers and collectors to hold review meetings in this regard. The CM urged the people not to move in groups or in crowds and follow the self-regulation.
