No proof of YSRCP’s involvement in Jr NTR fan Shyam’s suicide, say cops

East Godavari: The Konaseema district police refuted the allegations regarding the involvement of YSRCP members in the death of 20-year-old Shyam from Chintaluru in Konaseema district who was found dead on June 25 in his house.
The district SP said that the allegations of YSRCP members being involved in the case are far from true and factually wrong. According to the police, Shyam cut his wrist with a sharp object, which was found in his pocket, and then hanged himself to death.
“It’s a case of suicide. The body was sent for post-mortem in which the ligation was clearly visible, and the report has shown that the death is due to hanging. The body has been handed over to the parents, and they have not objected to the investigation,” said Konaseema SP P Sridhar.
The preliminary investigation by the police shows that he was in a love affair and was weak in his studies, which might be the reasons for his extreme step. A video he shot before taking the extreme step shows him saying that he is not interested in working a job.
TDP alleges YSRCP members’ involvement
On Tuesday, TDP chief Nara Chandra Babu Naidu expressed condolences on Twitter. “Suspicious circumstances surrounding his death are alarming. I strongly urge for a thorough investigation on the alleged involvement of a YSRCP member,” tweeted Naidu.
Fan of Jr NTR
Social media has been buzzing over the death of Shyam, who was said to be a Jr NTR fan. A video is going viral on how Shyam tried to take a photo with Jr NTR during a pre-release event.
After his death, fans of Jr NTR strongly condemned his death and demanded a thorough investigation. They stated that all Jr NTR fans will protest if the persons responsible are arrested. Jr NTR, too, expressed his condolences over Shyam’s death in a heartfelt note.
YSRCP releases Shyam’s video
On Tuesday, a video of Shyam was released on the YSRCP Twitter handle. The government assured support for his family. They stated that it was painful to see the opposition party seeking political gains from such as tragic incident.
