By Sri Lakshmi Muttevi Published on 23 Jan 2024 9:56 AM GMTVijayawada: Poll strategist Prashant Kishor, who created a buzz in Andhra Pradesh after he met Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada, clarified that he is not working for the party for the upcoming AP State Assembly elections in 2024.

In the latest conversation with Saurabh Dwivedi, the Editor of Lallantop, Kishor who started Jan Suraaj, a social service organisation was asked to comment about his meeting with Naidu. He said, āYes, I met Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada recently upon the insistence of a common friend. Chandrababu Naidu has asked me to help him this time, but I made it clear that I left that work, and I wonāt be playing any role in the AP elections.ā

āI told him that I had worked for the YSR Congress party in the 2019 elections, and after that, I had given up political consultancy work. I came down to Vijayawada to meet Naidu and told him that I cannot work for the TDP,ā he added. It is also pertinent to note that Prashant Kishorās teammate Robin Sharma has been working for the TDP for some time now.

Meanwhile, chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is still in partnership with the I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee) team that is working closely with him, strategising for the 2024 elections. The firm is currently being led by a new CEO after Kishorās departure.
Prashant Kishor has also clarified that he is not in partnership with Jagan in Andhra Pradesh.
Kishor has successfully worked with several other political parties in India including CM Jagan for the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.

His first major political campaign was in 2011 to help Narendra Modi, then chief minister of Gujarat get re-elected to the CM office for a third time in the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012.
