Nyay Nirman: Telangana HC to construct 10 new court complexes to augment judicial infra

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe on Tuesday said they have released the Nyay Nirman document to boost judicial infrastructure by constricting new district complexes.

CJ Aradhe was speaking after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day.

Judges of the High Court and advocates took part in the function.

He said Telangana State Judiciary is working to reduce the pendency of cases. He said in the recent past the disposal of cases has increased. It's a result of teamwork and with the collective effort of the bar and bench, and will ensure speedy disposal of cases, he said.

CJ Alok informed that the members of the bar are facing certain issues that have been brought to his notice. He said the Court is committed to the welfare of the entire legal fraternity.

Alok Aradhe informed that the High Court has released a Nyay Nirman document to bring uniformity and to make sure all requisite amenities and facilities are provided to the stakeholders of the judiciary by constructing court complexes.

The document includes detailed plans for 10 court complexes and two separate plans for family Courts and POCSO Courts.

Lands have been allotted to the newly formed judicial districts ranging from 5 acres to 20 acres for the construction of District Court Complexes. And these Court complexes will be based on Nyay Nirman Document, CJ Alok said.

Telangana High Court has submitted proposals to the Government for the grant of administrative sanctions for the grant of each court complex for 13 districts in the state, which have to be taken on a priority basis.

Further, CJ Alok said that the proceedings of High Court Hall No. 1 are being live-streamed effectively. The live-streaming facility will be extended to all other Courts very shortly.

A hybrid mode of hearing will also be made available to the Advocates and party in persons in all the court halls. Steps for digitisation of records are continuing and as of August 15, 2023, nearly 8 crore pages have been digitised.

Taking necessary steps to ensure the facility of e-filing will also be available to the litigants and the bar members. Moreover, shortly, the functioning of paperless courts, CJ Alok Aradhe said.

In the National Lok Adalat held on February 11 and June 10, a total number of 7 lakh 10, 3846 cases have been settled. In regular Lok Adalats, 41,552 cases have been settled,
