Srinagar: Cutting across ideological divide, J&K political parties unanimously passed a resolution extending full support to the Centre for the steps taken to hold Pakistan accountable for the terror crimes in Jammu and Kashmir.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri briefed the ambassadors of Germany, Japan, Poland, the UK, and Russia on the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

In the wake of the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 civilians, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi will arrive in Srinagar on Friday to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah spoke to several Chief Ministers and requested them to ensure the safety of Jammu and Kashmir youth in their respective states. This follows reports that people of Kashmir are being targeted in different states.

For the second day, hundreds of students took to the streets to protest against the Pahalgam terror attack. Condemning terrorism, the students marched through the main roads demanding justice for the victims.

Amid the exodus, many tourists stayed back in Kashmir. Over 15,000 visitors enjoyed the Gulmarg Gondola ride in 48 hours.

A Special Forces Para Commando of the Army was killed, and two others sustained injuries during a fierce encounter with terrorists in the Dudu-Basantgarh area of Udhampur district.
