Passport rush: Special drive on April 29; 3056 appointments will be available
The centres will be three each at Begumpet, Ameerpet and Tolichowki, and one each at Karimnagar and Nizamabad
By Newsmeter Network Published on 26 April 2023 8:09 AM GMTHyderabad: A special passport drive will be conducted by the Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, on Saturday's from April 29 across five Passport Seva Kendras (PSK), in order to clear the backlog.
In a statement issued by Regional Passport Officer- It stated "Due to huge demand and long waiting in appointment availability, PSP Division in Ministry of External Affairs has decided to conduct Special Passport Drives on Saturdays".
The centres will be three each at Begumpet, Ameerpet and Tolichowki, and one each at Karimnagar and Nizamabad.
"For the first Special Drive to be conducted on April 29, 29"h April, around 3056 appointments, under all categories i.e., Tatkal, Normal and PCC are to be released. Appointments would be released in the Passportseva Website at 4 pm on April 27, Thursday", said the Regional Passport Officer.
All applicants, both registering now/desiring to reschedule their appointment, may make use of this facility through www.passportindia.gov.in/ mPassportseva app and attend respective PSKs where their slots are booked.
Further, all the applicants are here by informed that prior appointment is mandatory and no walk-in requests will be entertained at PSKs/POPSKs.
All applicants are advised not to approach middlemen/touts/brokers for their passport and passport related requirements and to make use of this special measure.
