Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Hyderabad and Ramagundam today.
He will dedicate Ramagundam Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) to the nation. The PM will also open the Bhadrachalam-Sattupalli railway line, besides laying the foundation for other development projects.
According to Telangana BJP, the prime minister will reach Hyderabad by noon, and there will be a public meeting to welcome him at Begumpet airport at 1 PM.
From there, he is set to reach Ramagundam by air. He will also address people especially farmers at a public meeting in Ramagundam in the evening.
Foundation for the RFCL plant was laid by PM Modi in 2016. The plant produces 12.7 lakh Metric Tonnes of Neem-Coated Urea annually, catering to the needs of farmers in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh.
Hyderabad police have imposed multiple traffic restrictions and diversions on the routes going to Begumpet airport. In light of the VVIP visit, traffic officers urged travelers to take alternate routes.
