PM visit: Potholes filled, city cleaned, wires fixed; AP govt's window dressing

Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Andhra Pradesh on November 11. He will be launching a series of developmental projects.
Prime Minister will arrive at Visakhapatnam by a special aircraft on November 11 and will have a night halt at the Chola suite of Eastern Naval Command.
On November 12, he will launch projects worth Rs 10,842 crore at Andhra University Engineering College grounds. Later, the PM will address the public meeting, which will be attended by about 2 lakh people.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and senior officials would be present at the event. Later he will leave for Hyderabad.
Pothole free roads
The administration is working overtime to fill the potholes and clean the city. The focus is on Siripuram junction, beach road, and Andhra University road which will be frequented by the dignitaries.
All the potholes and patches have been repaired. The electricity department is fixing the hanging cables. GVMC officials are clearing overgrown bushes. Compound walls at the stretch from Beach road to Andhra University are being painted.
High security
A Command and Control Room is being set up at the Collectorate with 25 personnel to monitor people arriving at the venue. Ambulances and fire engines will be deployed at the venue. Following instructions from the Police Commissioner, cops have deployed sniffer dogs and bomb squads at Engineering College Grounds.
Cops are checking suspected vehicles. at several areas. APSP platoons were mobilized at various places as part of security arrangements. All the hotels, lodges, resorts, and guest houses are being checked thoroughly.
Roads to avoid:
People are advised to avoid main junctions in the city including Hanumanthawaka, Maddilapalem Asilmetta, Satyam, Jodugullapalem Beach Road, and the RK Beach Road. The roads are expected to experience heavy traffic jams on November 11-12.

AP section of Visakhapatnam-Raipur greenfield economic corridor: Rs 3,778 crore
