Plea of 11 IAS officers to continue in Telangana has been rejected, IAS cadre separation is a point of contention between two Telugu states

Amrapali Kataās request to be allocated Telangana cadre has been denied recently. Amrapali was serving as the GHMC commissioner.
The IAS officer from the 2010 Andhra Pradesh cadre requested to be considered for the Telangana cadre. However, the request was denied based on the recommendations of the Khandekar Committee.
Another IAS officer V Karuna has been posted as the new Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare. He has also been given full additional charge of Mission Director, National Health Mission, until further orders.
IAS officer A. Vani Prasad has been posted as the Principal Secretary to the Government, Labour, Factories, Boilers & Insurance Medical Services Department relieving M.M. Nayak.
Many IAS officers transferred to AP
After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in 2014, the cadre separation of IAS officers became a point of contention. Following the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) approval to stay in their current positions, the officers have served in their respective states for about 10 years.
Recently, the DoPT rejected the plea of 11 IAS officers to continue in Telangana. IAS officers Vani Prasad, Vakati Karuna, Ronald Rose, Amrapali, and Prashanthi were working in Telangana. IPS officers Anjani Kumar, Abhilash Bist, and Abhishek Mahanthi have been allotted to the Andhra Pradesh cadre.
Challenging the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) decision to allocate them to the Andhra Pradesh cadre, four IAS officers ā Vakati Karuna, Vani Prasad, Amrapali Kata, and Srijana Gummalla ā have approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). The four IAS officers each submitted a separate plea to overturn the DoPTās rulings and continue their services in Telangana.
