Power companies facing huge power demand
“Power companies are facing the huge power demand recorded this year without any problems. Elaborating further, the deputy chief minister said that in the last 14 months, all measures have been taken by the government to ensure a sustained and reliable supply of quality power to all categories of consumers for agriculture, industry, and domestic needs. These are significant increases that, to be serviced, require careful planning of both the purchase of power and its supply, he added.
CEC predict electricity demand increase in Telangana
Recently, the deputy chief minister also gave a presentation on the scenario of the power sector in the state in which he stated the Central Electricity Commission (CEC) predicted that electricity demand would increase at an annual rate of 8 percent until 2030, reaching 24,215 MW, and then at a rate of 5.6 percent until 2035, reaching 31,809 MW in the state.
Bhatti enumerated the factors contributing to the state's rising power demand, stating that the Future City initiative, the Musi Riverfront Development, which is anticipated to see increased economic activity, the Regional Ring Road, and Hyderabad's rapid rise as a hub for data centers for major international IT giants, which consume more power, are the main growth drivers.
