Prashant Kishore does not matter, Rishi’s IPAC team does, results will shock PK, says Jagan
The I-PAC team is currently being led by Rishi after Kishor’s departure.
By Sri Lakshmi Muttevi Published on 16 May 2024 1:49 PM GMTVijayawada: Chief minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has pitched Rishi Raj Singh – co-founder and director at I-PAC – against his former boss Prashant Kishor.
“It is not Prashant Kishor that matters; it is the team,” said Jagan standing beside Rishi during an interaction with the I-PAC team in Vijayawada.
On Thursday, Jagan met the representatives of the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) where he countered the claims of political strategist Prashant Kishor that the YSRCP is going to lose big. “This time, it’s going to be a record. We will surpass 151 Assembly seats and 22 Lok Sabha seats,” Jagan stated.
It is the first time that Jagan responded to former I-PAC head and political strategist Prashant Kishor's claims on YSRCP losing in Andhra Pradesh for the 2024 elections.
The I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee) team is currently being led by Rishi after Kishor’s departure.
“Earlier, mentor Prasanth Kishor came up and predicted different numbers. A lot of people do not understand the workings of the present I-PAC team and what Prasanth was doing earlier. So, when this dichotomy came up, I just told Rishi one thing. It is not Prasanth that matters; it is this (I-PAC) team. The winning numbers will be far greater than what Prasanth could have ever dreamt of,” declared CM Jagan.
Jagan stated that post-election, the same I-PAC team will continue working for his government.
What did Kishor predict?
Political strategist Prashant Kishor has predicted a massive defeat for the YSRP in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to RTV, a Telugu digital website, a day before the polls in the state, he said “Jagan he would lose the Assembly elections as it can only win 51 seats. This is my assessment.”
Kishor has successfully worked with several other political parties in India including CM Jagan for the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.
Kishor has worked as a political strategist for the BJP and continued his career with JD(U), INC, AAP, YSRCP, DMK and TMC.
Complaint filed by YSRCP
On May 13, the day of polling, the YSRCP filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India seeking criminal action against political consultancy group I-PAC’s founder Prashant Kishor and RTV journalist Ravi Prakash for telecasting opinion polls on the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Parliamentary elections, a day before the state went to polls.
In the 48 hours before polling, election-related content is not allowed to be published or aired. The party said that the telecast was a ‘blatant violation’ of Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act.
