Private aircraft hits an electric pole in Nalgonda, trainee pilot from Tamil Nadu dies in the crash

Hyderabad: A private aircraft operated by Flytech Aviation Academy hit against an electric pole in Nalgonda district of Telangana, on February 26th Morning. The trainee pilot identified as G Mahima who was flying solo succumbed to injuries. The aircraft debris was found in agricultural fields, the crash was reported at around 10.45 AM.


Speaking to NewsMeter Nalgonda Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari confirmed the news, she said, "The aircraft was flying across the Nalgonda border, it was heading from Macharla. The trainee pilot unfortunately crashed against an electric pole and died on the spot. The aircraft is identified as Cessna 152- a two-seater aircraft used by civil aviation academies for aviation training. The local police and DGCI will be probe into the incident.

Information gathered from the aviation academy revealed that, 'the elevator of the aircraft which is responsible for pitching (climbing) reportedly turned dysfunctional and trainee pilot Mahima failed to climb up, resulting in a crash. Mahima along with her husband hail from Tamil Nadu, however live at FlyTech Aviation Academy's aero drome located at Nagarjuna Sagar road of Telangana.
