Priority investments
The Chief Minister outlined a clear vision for the state's development, identifying three pillars as the government's top priorities:
Education: Described as an "investment in future generations."
Healthcare: Improving accessibility and quality of medical services.
Water Conservation: Protecting and restoring vital natural resources.
"The responsibility of providing quality education rests upon all of us," the CM stated, noting that 44 percent of the state’s student population resides within Hyderabad. He encouraged companies to reinvest in the regions where they utilize local infrastructure.
New Mechanism for Collaboration
To address previous gaps in fund utilization, the state government has appointed a Special Chief Secretary dedicated to overseeing CSR initiatives. This official will serve as a bridge, helping companies coordinate their efforts in areas ranging from skill development and forest conservation to the preservation of heritage structures.
Corporate Response
Company representatives at the meeting expressed strong support for the Chief Minister’s proactive approach. Many noted that this was the first time the government had reached out directly to discuss a structured CSR framework. Business leaders from organizations including Apollo Hospitals, Megha, and the Indian Green Building Council expressed their readiness to contribute to school education and healthcare infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including Shravan Kumar (Raheja Foundation), Dakshayani Alla (Ramky Foundation), and Dr. Gorukanti Surender Rao (Yashoda Hospitals), alongside senior government officials and education secretaries.
