Retd IAS officer PV Ramesh resigns from MEIL, denies of being asked to resign

Vijayawada: Former IAS officer PV Ramesh has resigned from the post of a consultant serving in Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL). However vehemently denies of being asked to resign.

The officer served as Principal Secretary of the Finance Department during the AP Skill Development program in the TDP government.

Speaking to News Meter, Ramesh has confirmed about his resignation.

On September 11, Ramesh has written to PV Krishna Reddy, Managing Director of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited Hyderabad submitting his resignation from the service of MEIL effective from 11 September due to personal reason.

In the letter, he thanks Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) for giving the opportunity. He was involved in a wide range of projects during my work with MEIL.

On Tuesday, he posted a note on Twitter saying: My entire life, I have consistently and unambiguously worked for public interest beyond and above political, social, economic, commercial considerations. No one, not even God, can compel me do anything contrary to the interests of people at large and against my conscience.

Few days ago, Ramesh who was Principal Secretary of Finance Department of Andhra Pradesh in Chandrababu Naidu's regime, questioned the AP CID about his involvement in the skill development scam that allegedly led to the arrest of Naidu. The CID had previously recorded Rameshā€™s statement in connection with the scam. Sources said he denied giving any information about the AP Skill Development Scam to the CID.

However, several claims went around that that the CID had filed a case against Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development scam based on Rameshā€™s statement. He denies any role in the arrest of former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
