Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy said that the former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao purchased 22 Land Cruisers "without anybody's knowledge" and was planning to use it in the third term.

Revanth Reddy said, "Even I did not know about it until 10 days after I became chief minister." These cars are in Vijaywada recently.

Each car costs Rs 3 and a half crore.

Reddy says, "KCR planned to use them in his third term after he resumed office again. These cars were purchased before the Assembly polls."

Repair and reuse

Revanth Reddy asked officials to repair the old cars and reuse them. He says, "I don't prefer luxury and asked officials to repair and reuse the existing cars. At that time, I was informed that there are 22 Land Cruisers in Vijaywada bought by the former government."

Created wealth

Land cruisers have now become a political tool as Revanth Reddy quipped that "this is how KCR has created wealth for the state." The Congress government launched its 'Praja Palani' public outreach program in the state and during the press conference these aspects were disclosed.

The CM said a 'Praja Palana' programme will be held from December 28 to January 6 to accept further applications from the people.
