Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is preparing for the friendly match between him and global legend Lionel Messi to be held in Hyderabad on December 13.
The friendly match will be in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal.
Messi is in India as a part of the ‘G.O.A.T India Tour 2025’.
CM Revanth team is called RR-9
CM Revanth Reddy has been playing football for the last 15 years at the Jubilee Hills ground.
A senior Congressman explained, “He has his own team of young and middle-aged people with whom he has been playing football. Whenever he gets time, he plays. For this match, too, there is no preparation per se. He went to the University of Hyderabad and played with the boys and his members, with whom he has been playing were there with them. It is supposed to be a friendly match. He is a football fan.”
For this reason, the CM Revanth team is called RR-9, and the CM Jersey will also be number 9.

Congress leaders are being called for the tickets to the Uppal Stadium. The football fans in Hyderabad want to see the live match between Messi and CM Revanth Reddy.
A senior Congress leader said, “I am telling people that I can’t give any tickets to you as I am in the district.”
Congress leaders say that they have been asked to do their respective work and not indulge in any of these activities, as these are all a part of government promotions for Telangana.
