Review of phone tapping, pending issues after polls: CM Revanth Reddy
After the election results, a review meeting will be held and decisions will be taken accordingly.
By Kaniza Garari Published on 3 Jun 2024 2:22 AM GMTHyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, in an informal interaction with media persons on Saturday, talked about the state emblem, enforcement agencies and also the innumerable pending issues in the state that will be taken up after the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
Construction of OGH: The construction of Osmania General Hospital, a priority for government doctors in the state, is on the list. āThere are a lot of issues pending which have not been resolved in the last decade. We are going to take them up properly after research and survey,ā the CM said. The state is also considering constructing four new hospitals in the state.
Metro project for Old City: The construction work of the Hyderabad metro project in terms of road widening has started. The others will also be completed, he assured.
Functioning of enforcement agencies: The enforcement agencies, which have not been functioning for the last 10 years, have started carrying out their duties now, claimed CM Revanth.
Kaleshwaram project: The renovation works of the Kaleshwaram project will be done based on the recommendations from the NDSA. The experts are looking into it and their suggestions will be implemented, the CM said.
Power interruptions: Power interruptions across the city have become common due to the high amount of consumption in the summer months. Due to load shedding and power breakdowns, there are interruptions but no power cuts, the CM assured.
Phone tapping case: No review has been held on the phone tapping case due to poll code. After the election results, a review meeting will be held and decisions will be taken accordingly.
State Emblem controversy: The Congress government in Telangana has decided to change the state emblem which has attracted a lot of criticism. The design of the emblem will be decided only after discussion in the Assembly and all stakeholders will be consulted, the CM assured.
Lok Sabha elections: INDIA alliance will form the government at the Centre and the BJP will not get more than 240 seats, CM Revanth said. Telangana is going to ask for four central portfolios, he added.

Term of TPCC chief: The term of CM Revanth as president of the TPCC (Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee) ends on June 27. The All-India Congress Committee will appoint the next president.
