Revanth laid stone for Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation project

Revanth Reddy toured his constituency, Kodangal, for the first time since assuming office. He laid the stone for the Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation project, apart from inaugurating the Medical and Nursing and Physiotherapy colleges in Kodangal. 200 free electricity units and waive Rs 2 lakh in crop loans for farmers

Addressing his maiden public meeting in Kosgi, Revanth Reddy reiterated the commitment to provide 200 free electricity units and waive up to Rs 2 lakh crop loans. He thanked the people of Palamuru region and Kodangal for showering their blessings and affection, which helped him become the chief minister of Telangana.

Water robbery was high during the KCR regime

Taking a jibe at Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), Revanth Reddy said that the water robbery was high during the KCR regime when compared to the rule in unified Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that KCR supported the Andhra Pradesh government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to transform Rayalaseema as ā€˜Ratnalaseemaā€™. During the Telangana agitation, KCR contested and won as an MP from Mahabubnagar as he predicted his defeat from Karimnagar, he added.

Raw deal meted out to the Palamuru region during BRS rule

Launching a scathing attack on KCR, the chief minister said that he had done nothing for the Palamuru region after the formation of Telangana. ā€œIf KCR is committed to the development of Telangana, he should tender an open apology to the people of Palamuru region for the raw deal meted out to them during the decade-long rule of the BRS and seek the votes for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections,ā€ he said.

Modi failed to announce Palamuru-Rangareddy irrigation as a national project

On the BRS-BJP alliance, Revanth Reddy alleged that the saffron party had a secret pact with the BRS. In 2014, Narendra Modi, during his visit to Mahabubnagar district, promised to declare the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme a national project. Even after a decade, there were no signs from the Center to declare it a national project, he said, and he alleged that even though four MPs from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are representing the state in Lok Sabha, enough funds were never sanctioned to the state.

Considering that the BRS and BJP have failed to develop the Palamuru region, Revanth Reddy stated that they are not entitled to seek their votes from the public in the Mahabubnagar Parliamentary constituency in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. While the Congress was working to promote the Palamuru region, he claimed that both parties were ignoring it.

The chief minister also pointed out that there was no new Ayacut and that the Palamuru region was ignored by the previous BRS regime. He criticized the BJP MPs for consistently failing to keep their commitments, particularly in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district. "I came to fulfill my promise to end the seven decades of suffering in the Palamuru region. The Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme received permission in 2014 and laid the foundation for the same,ā€ he said.

Revanth announces Challa Vamsi Chand Reddy as an MP candidate from Mahabubnagar

Revanth Reddy urged Congress cadres to foil the BJP and BRS attempts to topple the party and guarantee Vamsichand Reddy a resounding majority in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. He predicted a BJP-BRS alliance in the next polls. Revanth said if 14 MPs from the Congress were elected to the Lok Sabha, he would provide Krishna water to Kodangal.

Revanth interacts with self-help groups

As part of his one-day visit to his constituency of Kodangal, Revanth Reddy stressed the need to strengthen women financially and gave bank linkage checks to women's self-help groups in Kosgi. Subsequently, he spoke at "Aatmiya Sammelanam" program self-help groups. "Women's self-help groups will be strengthened by the government." He declared. I've already told the authorities to take action in this regard and declared that the school uniform stitching project will be given to self-help groups,ā€ the chief minister said.

Revanth Reddy indicated that the state government was also considering lending money to women's organizations with no interest. ā€œSteps will be taken to strengthen the IKP centers, and focus will be laid on incentivizing women who engage in cottage industries,ā€ he added.
