Samber rice to upma: Naidu inaugurates Rs.13.45 Cr kitchen near Panchajanyam Rest House in Tirumala

By Newsmeter Network Published on 5 Oct 2024 5:45 AM GMTTirumala: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday inaugurated a modern kitchen near Panchajanyam Rest House on the Outer Ring Road in Tirumala.
Constructed in a plinth area of 37,245 sq. ft, the Rs.13.45 crore kitchen has all modern facilities.
The ground floor has been reserved for storing food grains, vegetables, and milk. The first floor has been kept for food preparation. Steam-based cooking with boilers run by LPG and an exhaust system for providing ambient weather for the workers have also been installed.
Purpose:
Whenever there is a heavy influx of pilgrims during holidays and weekends, this new centralized kitchen will be able to cater to 1.20 lakh pilgrims. Pilgrims will be served pulihora, sambar rice, pogal, and upma.
Counters have been established at the Central Reception Office, PAC- I, Ram Bagicha Rest House Bus Stand.
Naidu stayed on Friday night and offered Pattu Vastralu on behalf of the State government to Lord Venkateswara on the first day of the nine-day Brahmotsavams.
On the second day of Brahmotsavam, the procession of Chinna Sesha Vahanam was held at Tirumala on Saturday morning. It was a treat to watch with thousands of devotees congregating around the thoroughfares of the temple town.
The processional deity of Sri Malayappa Swamy, donning the role of Sri Krishna, was taken for a pleasure ride on the five-hooded golden Chinna Sesha Vahanam in all His majestic display of power and strength.
It is widely believed that a divine glimpse of Sri Malayappa on Chinna Sesha Vahanam, the Serpent King Vasuki, enlightens the devotees about the importance of the hidden Kundalini energy within themselves and enables them to attain salvation.
