Andhra Pradesh: Andhra Pradesh Task Force has handed over Secunderabad violence accused Avula Subba Rao to Government Railway Police (GRP) for questioning. Rao, who heads Sai Defence Academy, was shifted from Narasaraopet to Hyderabad.
It may be recalled that hundreds of job aspirants resorted to violence and arson at Secunderabad Railway station during a protest against the 'Agnipath' scheme. The youth were provoked after some coaching centers created Whatsapp groups and sent random messages.
Subba Rao's coaching center has around 16 branches in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Police found evidence that he instigated youth for the protests. Around 800 youth were provoked through Whatsapp groups. Voice messages of Subba Rao were circulated through these groups. Youth were camping in Secunderabad a day before the protests broke out. Subba Rao provided food and accommodation to all the members. On Wednesday, Subba Rao will be questioned by the GRP, and they are likely to take him on the remand.
