Cases of sudden heart rise among young adults
In recent times, cases of young and old suffering from a sudden heart attack have infused fear in many. Recently, a young lady collapsed and died while performing on the stage in Madhya Pradesh. A groom died of a sudden cardiac attack while on his way to a mandap on a horse.
What is the reason for the sudden heart attacks that have shocked the people of Hyderabad?
Sudden cardiac arrests in youngsters have been recorded for many decades. This is not a new phenomenon. Sudden cardiac arrest has historically been associated with the elderly. Nonetheless, it is becoming increasingly obvious that young people can also suffer from an abrupt cardiac arrest.
A variety of underlying disorders can contribute to sudden cardiac arrests in children and youth. It encompasses genetic heart disorders, structural heart deformities and electrical heart abnormalities. Unfortunately, the cause of an abrupt cardiac arrest in young persons is often unknown.
Sudden cardiac arrest in the young is a growing concern, with recent cases of high-profile cases in India. This is due to the high prevalence of risk factors for heart disease in the population, such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes and a sedentary lifestyle.
Additionally, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the incidence of heart disease, with factors such as inflammation, hypoxia and clotting abnormalities contributing to an increased risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular complications.
More research is needed to better understand the causes of sudden cardiac arrest in young people and develop effective screening and prevention strategies.
