`Shashi Tharoor is a donkey: TPCC chief Revanth Reddys leaked audio sparks row

Hyderabad: A leaked audio of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief and MLA Revanth Reddy calling party MP Shashi Tharoor a "donkey", has stirred up a hornet's nest in the state."Tharoor only knows English. Language is not knowledge. Language is only a communicative skill," he can be heard saying in the audio.

Revanth Reddy also said that people like Shashi Tharoor should be expelled from the party. TRS President and Minister K T Rama Rao, responding to 'fake new' blame by Revanth Reddy released an audio clip on his social networking handle.

The controversy sparked when TRS Party Working President and Telanagana state Minister KT Rama Rao took to Twitter and criticized Revanth Reddy for his words. He said "While scumbags like Revanth Reddy need not be responded to; it's important to expose filth. Here's his audio clip/comments on Tharoor. Sent to me by a reporter. I am sure if we send it to a forensic lab, it'll match his infamous 'Note4Vote' voice," he tweeted.

KTR noted that as the chairman of the IT standing committee, Shashi Tharoor had paid some compliments to the efforts of the Telangana government recently. "His colleague in parliament & PCC Cheap calls him a Donkey!! This is what happens when you have a 3rd rate criminal/thug leading the party," he said. KTR also tagged Rahul Gandhi asking for his response on TPCC President Revanth Reddy's words where he insulted a senior leader from his own political party. Revanth Reddy has also been facing criticism from the National Congress leaders for his filthy language.

Senior Congress leader took objection of the same, Manish Tewari, former I&B Minister and Congress Spokesperson, said "Dear Mr. Revanth Reddy, Dr. Shashi Tharoor is a valued colleague of yours & mine It would have been better if you would have spoken to him if you had some misgivings about a purported statement of his. Grace & Propriety demands you withdraw your words," tweeted

The cycle of tweets lead to Revanth Reddy apologizing to Mr Tharoor, he cleared the air on twitter.

Shashi Tharoor responded to a tweet by saying, "I am sure he was only expressing his fraternal feelings."
