Hyderabad: ACB has arrested two officers, including former BRS minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s the then OSD, in the Sheep Distribution Scheme scam.
One of the accused has been identified as Sabavath Ramchander, CEO of Telangana Livestock Development Agency (TLDA). He was formerly the MD of Telangana State Sheep and Goat Development Cooperative Federation Ltd.
Another accused has been identified as Gundamaraju Kalyan Kumar, former OSD of Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the then Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries, and Cinematography. He colluded and conspired with a Private person and resorted to gross illegal acts and violations, the ACB said.
The accused, along with private persons, misused their official position and misappropriated government funds worth Rs. 2.1 crore.
Talasani is a sitting BRS MLA from Sanatnagar. So far, ACB hasn’t said anything about the ex-minister’s role. Talasani has denied the allegations earlier. In fact, he said there is no scam as such.
