Siddham: Jagan kicks off Andhra election campaign from Vizag

Visakhapatnam: YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will kick off the election campaign from Visakhapatnam today.

Jagan will start 'Siddham' from Bheemili.

It may be noted that Jaganā€™s sister and newly appointed Andhra Pradesh Congress president Y S Sharmila also started her nine-day tour of the state from Itchapuram in the Srikakulam district.

Looks like the political battle between the siblings begins.

All the major hot spots have been adorned by posters, hoardings, and billboards specially designed to highlight this one word ā€“ Siddham.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at 2.30 pm at Sanghivalasa in Bheemili. Around 3 lakh cadres from 34 constituencies in the North region including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam districts are expected to participate.

YSRC general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said, during his election campaign, Jagan is said to sensitize the cadres about the welfare done to the people and steps to counterattack the opposition parties.

The city of destiny was developed during the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime and is going to be the administrative capital of Andhra Pradesh soon. That is why he has chosen the place to kickstart the election campaign,ā€ he said.

Before the public rally, Jagan will address a party meeting at Bheemili. He would give a direction to the party cadre to reach out to the people and win their trust.

In a first-of-its-kind in the country, the YSRCP government will launch a program to register the house site pattas given to over 30 lakh women in the state from January 29.

Jagan's sister begins tour in Andhra:

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Andhra Pradesh Congress president Y S Sharmila started her nine-day tour of the state from Itchapuram in Srikakulam district on January 23, She challenged the ruling YSR Congress leaders to show one development project taken up by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the last five years.

During her latest meeting in Kakinada on Friday, Sharmila alleged that her brother and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was responsible for the split in the family of the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
