It is pertinent to note that, a bunch of the IPS officers whose names figure in the list alleged of 'favouring' the YSRCP government and carried out raids against TDP leaders. Sitting Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, alleged that the police department were puppets in the hand of then Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

IPS officer Y Rishanth Reddy is one among the many names written in the "RED book" of Minister Nara Lokesh.
Lokesh who carried the Red book during his Yuvagalam Padayatra had list of names against whom action will be initiated immediately after the TDP returns to power. According to Lokesh, Red Book is a book where he maintained all the names of officials who have broken the law and who have foisted false cases against TDP leaders, cadre and even the public who have been harassed.
Rishant Reddy fell out of the TDPās favour after he booked Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders for fomenting violence in Rayalaseema during the Naidu's visit to irrigation project sites.
During a public meeting in Chittoor, Nara Lokesh also gave a warning to Rishant Reddy (then Chittoor SP) stating he is unfit to be an IPS officer.
