Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has asked the officials to simplify the process for building permissions and other facilities within the Telangana Core Urban Region (CUR).
The Chief Minister directed the officials to submit a report with a complete study to adopt a simplified permit system at the earliest.
The CM held a review of civic services and the permission system in the Core Urban Region at the State Secretariat on Wednesday evening.
The CM pointed out that people will have to apply to many departments for various types of constructions and go around the respective offices for permissions in the āCore Urban Regionā within the Outer Ring Road limits of GHMC and HMDA. In light of the people facing many problems, the chief minister underscored the need to create a single platform where applicants get all permissions for all necessary services through a single window for the construction of homes and commercial complexes, and other related services.
CM Revanth Reddy suggested that Revenue, Municipal Administration, Water supply, sewage drainage, Police, Fire, Electricity, and other departments should work together to offer simplified permission services to the people.
The Chief Minister said that a new system should be developed to pay the bills that are being collected by the respective departments at one go through a single window. Under the new system, the amount paid by the consumers should be credited to the accounts of the respective departments. To develop the new system, the CM asked the officials to conduct a LIDAR survey to identify the assets and resources and also seek expert advice to study more convenient methods.
CM Revanth Reddy suggested that there should be uniformity in the division of various departments to provide better civic services and avoid unnecessary delay in the permission process. Stating that the permissions should not be denied without any reason, the CM ordered that, if there is any delay in the permission due to any reason, the officials should inform the applicants about the reasons and also suggest the steps to be taken to resolve them.
