Sircilla YouTuber booked for ‘Peacock Curry Recipe’ video
Animal rights activists are demanding the police and forest officials to look into the video, even though it has since been removed

Hyderabad: A case was registered against a local YouTuber after he received considerable backlash for releasing a video titled ‘Traditional Peacock Curry Recipe’ on his channel.
The video, posted by Kosam Pranay Kumar of Tangallapally in Sircilla district, has been criticised for encouraging the poaching of Peacock, India’s national bird; the peacock is given the highest protection under the Wild Life (Protection) Act 1972.
A closer look at Pranay Kumar’s channel showed that he had also uploaded a video, which was contentious and might have been against the law, showing how to cook the curry of a wild boar.
Animal rights activists are demanding the police and forest officials to look into the video, even though it has since been removed.
Taking to his X account, Rajanna Sircilla district SP Alkhil Mahajan said, “A case has been registered under the law concerned and strictest action would be taken against him and anyone else doing such activities.”
