Amaravathi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said Tata Power is mulling to set up solar power plants with a potential of Rs 40,000 Cr investment in the state.

To boost tourism and industrial growth, Indian Hotels is exploring the possibilities of setting up another 20 hotels in the state. These include Taj, Vivanta, Gateway, SeleCtions, and Ginger Hotels along with a large convention center.

Naidu took to X to share details after meeting with Tata Group the Executive Chairman Chandrasekharan. It reflected the remarkable legacy of the late Ratan Tata.



"Tata Power is evaluating setting up plants to generate over five gigawatts (GW) of solar and wind energy with a potential of Rs 40,000 crore investment. We also explored potential collaboration to innovate deep tech and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for primary healthcare," Chandrababu said.




Chandrababu Naidu said Ratan Tata's visionary leadership and contribution to the country have left an indelible mark on India's industrial landscape.

Ratan Tata had made an immense contribution to the growth of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu said. He said Tata Group will continue to be an important stakeholder in the progress of the state.

"During my meeting with Chandrasekharan, I also discussed some key areas of growth in the state in which both the Andhra Pradesh government and the Tata Group could collaborate," the Chief Minister said.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has committed to establishing a new Information Technology (IT) Development Centre in Visakhapatnam with a potential of 10,000 jobs, Chandrababu said.

Ratan Tata Innovation Hub will mentor entrepreneurship across the state to achieve our 'One Family-One Entrepreneur' vision which is a fitting tribute to the legend who believed in empowering grassroots," Chandrababu said.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that these initiatives will certainly play a crucial role in driving growth and development across the state.
